The Schaumburg Flyers will attempt to make the Guinness Book of World Records by bringing a field of volunteers this close to nausea.
The Schaumburg Flyers (independent; Northern League) are having a dizzy bat race on a monster scale in an attempt to make the Guinness Book of World Records.
We couldn't find any reference to an existing record, but no matter: after the game the Flyers will bring all comers to the field for an attempt at the record for the most participants in a dizzy-bat race. The Flyers say Guinness Book of World Records Officials have been invited to Alexian Field to witness and confirm the event, and officially include the Flyers fans in the record book.
Each fan will have their own bat, and they will spin seven times and then run approximately 30 feet to the finish line. The Flyers plan to run several heats in order to set the record beyond reach.
