It’s been an eventful offseason for the Salt Lake Bees (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League): former owner Larry Miller passed away, and the team successfully sold naming rights to its ballpark. Despite all the changes, Greg Miller is still committed to bringing family entertainment to the ballpark.
Salt Lake is one of those franchises that just goes about its business day in and day out; there’s no attempt to garner national headlines, and efforts concentrated on the cornerstones of the baseball business: attracting fans and groups with wholesome entertainment. Larry Miller didn’t need to make a ton of changes when he bought the Bees; his son, Greg Miller, says there won’t be many now, either. In fact, the family remains totally committed to the team:
"I’m absolutely committed," Miller told the Deseret News. "I think it’s another wonderful community asset … and it seems on a very solid foundation to ensure a relatively high level of success going into the future. I’d hate to see this stadium dark."
