The indepedent Continental Baseball League has set a deadline of Friday for a group to come forward and own the Edinburg Coyotes franchise.
The original deadline was last Friday, but that was extended after a trustee was in appointed in a Florida bankruptcy court to manage the assets of United Sports Equities, the owners of United League Baseball and the owner of the Coyotes as well as the leaseholder to the ballpark. The deadline was extended to give the trustee a few days to get up to speed.
The CBL has already absorbed four ULB franchises.
