Brewers working on Miller Park enhancements

With an improbable playoff run, the Milwaukee Brewers recaptured the hearts and minds of Brewtown baseball fans. They’ll capitalize on this reignited passion with a slew of changes to Miller Park for the 2009 season.
With an improbable playoff run, the Milwaukee Brewers recaptured the hearts and minds of Brewtown baseball fans. They’ll capitalize on this reignited passion with a slew of changes to Miller Park for the 2009 season.

The Brewers are giving Miller Park its most extensive makeover since opening. Brewers executive vice president for business operations Rick Schlesinger outlined the changes:

The amount of hours I’ve been spending at the ballpark overseeing all of the construction projects lends truth to the fact that this has been the most ambitious off-season we’ve ever had since I’ve been with the Brewers.

The good news is that all of the projects are on time, on budget and in a few cases below budget. The Harley-Davidson deck, the steel is being erected as we speak, and that is moving forward. We are renovating all of the club-level suites. And again, that project is ahead of schedule.

We’re adding a new 2009 party suite and that is on target and on budget. We are renovating the retail store at the left-field Hot Corner, the Fan Zone, and that project, I just looked at the site last week, is on budget and schedule.
