We have some personnel news from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Class AA; Eastern League), with four front office staff promotions in anticipation of the 2019 season.
Jeff Tagliaferro has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales. After working with the Fisher Cats from 2003-2008, Tagliaferro rejoined the team as Vice President of Sales in 2016 following his time with UNH Sports Properties and New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The Bedford resident has helped the Fisher Cats develop countless corporate and community partnerships in New Hampshire and beyond.
Erik Lesniak is now the Fisher Cats Vice President of Business Development. With 14 seasons under his belt, the longtime Manchester resident is the team’s longest-tenured employee. After spending the first part of his Fisher Cats career as Director of Group Sales, he was promoted to Executive Director of Ticket Sales in 2010. Erik is an active member in the community, serving as a volunteer for various non-profits like the Lions Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Gold Star Mothers Memorial, Manchester St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Salvation Army, Ancient Order of Hibernians and many more.
Jay Evans will move into the role of Senior Account Executive. Since he signed on with the Fisher Cats in 2016, Evans has consistently been one of the top performers on the salesforce, excelling at customer service while expanding events like Faith & Family Night, Jewish Pride Night and more. With recent group area enhancements such as the left field pavilion, Evans has been at the forefront of creating unique experiences for families, businesses, community organizations, and youth sports teams.
Fisher Cats on-field emcee and road radio broadcaster Tyler Zickel has joined the front office in a full-time capacity as Director of Promotions & Entertainment. “Zick” has personified Ferocious Fun for each of the last two seasons, bringing unmatched energy and enthusiasm to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Zickel will lead the Fisher Cats promotions team and visit over 40 local schools as part of the Velcro Companies Reading Challenge this offseason.
“We’ve got one of the most talented and dedicated staffs in Minor League Baseball, and we’re proud to see Jeff, Erik, Jay and Tyler advance within our organization,” said Fisher Cats President Mike Ramshaw. “We can’t wait to get 2019 started; Opening Day will be here before you know it!”
