A holiday season promo is already in the works, as the Reading Fightin Phils’ (Class AA; Eastern League) will transform FirstEnergy Stadium into a Christmas destination. In conjunction with Savage 61 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, the Fightins will host Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The event will run nightly from Saturday, November 26th through December 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during weekdays and 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Fans will be able to capture the spirit of the holiday season as they stroll through the confines of FirstEnergy Stadium and visit different themed areas featuring sparkling holiday lights and glowing displays. Each night will feature a state of the art, multi-media field light show every hour at the top and bottom of every hour that will leave everyone in the family entertained.
No trip to Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium will be complete without a visit to see Santa. Old Saint Nick will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes from those on both the naughty and nice list each night. Rumor has it he may even be traveling with his 4 legged friends all the way from the North Pole. Santa Claus will also be recording personalized greetings each night for the good boys and girls in your family that will air on FirstEnergy Vision on the videoboard.
Local bands, choruses, and musicians will play yuletide favorites on the Hardball Cider Stage in Tompkins VIST Bank Plaza at “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium”. The Fightins are calling all local choirs, bands, orchestras, and other musical groups—from schools, churches, retirement communities, etc.—to schedule your group to perform at “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium”. Those interested can contact Todd Hunsicker at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how they can be a part of Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium.
“This Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium event will be 100% affordable family entertainment – just like every Fightins home game is,” said Fightins General Manager Scott Hunsicker. “People have always asked us why we haven’t done a Christmas, or Halloween event – and the honest answer is, we never wanted to do it until it could be off-the-charts awesome. Thanks to Savage 61, this Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium event will be amazing. We look forward to welcoming families, church groups, company outings, birthday parties, and friends to celebrate Christmas here at America’s Classic Ballpark.”
FirstEnergy Stadium’s popular concession stands and bars will open throughout the event each night serving delicious treats and warm drinks.
