A piece of concrete fell to the concourse Sunday at Comerica Park after the conclusion of the Detroit Tigers/Texas Rangers game, with team officials looking into the issue.
No one was hurt, and the Tigers front office says they’ll be looking into where the concrete came from and why it’s falling. From the Detroit Free Press:
Ron Colangelo, Tigers vice president of communications, said the stadium operations department “acknowledged a piece of concrete did fall to the 100 level concourse after the game. No one was injured as the ballpark was pretty clear at the time. The area has been isolated and operations will look into what may have been the cause.”

Comerica Park opened in 2000.
The Tigers are in Cincinnati today and are scheduled to open a three-game homestand on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
