Another attendance mark to report: last night the St. Paul Saints (independent; American Association) shattered the team record for single-game attendance with 10,430 fan at CHS Field.
Alas, the crowd did not go home happy: the Saints went down 8-6 to the Sioux City Explorers in 11 innings.
For the record: the Saints have drawn 324,787 fans to CHS Field in 40 dates for a per-game average of 8,120. Last season the team attracted 258,529 fans in 46 openings to Midway Stadium.
