A personnel move to note: Jonas Nordman is the new Voice of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (summer collegiate; Northwoods League).
“We are very excited to add Jonas to the broadcast booth this summer,” said Rafters general manager John Fanta. “We have had three talented broadcasters over our first four seasons and look forward watching Jonas excel in this position as well.”
Last summer Nordman spent his time as the voice of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen of the Midwest Collegiate League where he broadcasted all of their regular season and postseason games. Nordman also handled all of the Oilmen’s social media and video editing duties.
In addition to calling all 72 Rafters games on AM 1320 WFHR with all home games additionally simulcast on northwoodsleague.tv, Nordman will act as the Rafters traveling secretary and media relations coordinator, while assisting with additional video, audio and graphic projects this season.
Nordman is a graduate of the University of Kansas where he gained invaluable broadcasting experience as a part of their award winning student radio station 90.7 FM KJHK. While at KU Nordman broadcast Jayhawk football, baseball and Kansas basketball courtside at historic Allen Fieldhouse. Nordman twice had the opportunity to call first and second round action from the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament in Tulsa, OK and Kansas City, MO.
