The East Bay Lumberjacks, a semipro team added to the independent Pacific Association lineup this season on a partial basis, have new ownership and now play under the Bay Cal Lumberjacks moniker.
The new owners: Candice Macari, Cristin Franklin, Thomas Macari and Wayne Franklin.
“We are very excited about the addition of the Bay Cal Lumberjacks to our league,” said league commissioner Mike Marshall. “The East Bay club did a terrific job filling in for us during the summer. With new sponsorship and and some significant additions to the roster, we are already seeing an impact on the field.”
The Lumberjacks head into this week’s games with a record of 5-1 since the reorganization.
