Red Sox announce Minor League games at Fenway Park

Boston Red SoxThe Boston Red Sox have announced this year’s Futures at Fenway doubleheader at Fenway Park, when Lowell takes on Hudson Valley and Pawtucket hosts Buffalo on August 18.

The Lowell Spinners (short season A; NY-Penn League) last appeared in the Futures Game in 2010, falling to the Jamestown Jammers in a rain-abbreviated game. The loss was the first for the Spinners in their four Fenway appearances.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our fans and players alike,” said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. “We look forward to bringing our brand of Spinnertainment to Fenway and look forward to having the Spinners emerge with a win!”

The Spinners will be joined at Fenway by the Pawtucket Red Sox (Class AAA; International League), who will take on the Buffalo Bisons in the second half of the double header.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17 via the internet at www.redsox.com or by calling (877) REDSOX-9. Fans with disabilities may also call (877) REDSOX-9 to purchase accessible seating (while supplies last). The Red Sox’ TTY number for hearing-impaired fans is (617) 226-6644.
