There will be very few bleacher bums in a new right-field Wrigley Field patio in 2012, as the Chicago Cubs emulate nearby roof seating with a new group area that adds signage and capacity.
The new Budweiser Patio combines group seating with LED signage, complete with the capability to display pertinent game information such as pitch count, player pictures and statistics.
The new area will seat 150 fans; a group can rent the entire patio, while the team will also offer ducats to groups of 50, 100 or 150 guests. Each section of 50 tickets will include both seated and standing room only tickets and an all-inclusive food and beverage package.
“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Budweiser and offer our fans an exciting new experience in the right field Budweiser Bleacher section at Wrigley Field,” said Wally Hayward, executive vice president, chief sales and marketing officer, Chicago Cubs. “The Budweiser Patio will provide our fans with a rooftop experience inside the ballpark and more baseball content during the game on our new 75-foot LED board.”
