Razorbacks set new attendance mark

Arkansas RazorbacksIt was a big Saturday night for the Arkansas Razorbacks, as the team rallied to defeat SEC archrival LSU, and the school set a Baum Stadium attendance record.

The actual attendance of 11,103 and the paid attendance of 11,462 were both Baum Stadium records. The previous attendance records of 11,434 (paid) and 11,014 (actual) were set against Arizona State on April 8, 2009. The Razorbacks are already one of the top draws in all of baseball, and the weekend attendance against LSU should cement that standing; Friday’s night’s attendance was the sixth largest in Baum Stadium history. The game was telecast nationally on ESPNU.

As a bonus, the Razorbacks scored four in the bottom of the ninth to run the game, with a rally capped by catcher James McCann’s three-run, walk-off home run to left field.
