Some ugliness arising from MLB‘s Opening Day: A San Francisco Giants fan was severely beaten by Los Angeles Dodgers fans in the Dodger Stadium parking lot; he’s in critical condition and police are searching for his attackers.
The incident began after the Dodgers‘ 2-1 win over the Giants, with fans returning to their cars. A group of Dodgers fans began taunting Giants fans, and things quickly escalated to a brawl of sorts, with two Dodgers fans beating a downed Giants fan.
It’s not the first time there have been incidents between Giants and Dodgers fans at Dodger Stadium, but they’re not exactly a regular occurrence, either. In April 2009 a stabbing incident took place after a Dodgers-Giants game.
