Plan ahead: The Normal CornBelters are hosting the 2012 Frontier League All-Star Game at the Corn Crib on July 11, 2012.
Frontier League Commissioner Bill Lee made the All-Star Game bid to Mayor Chris Koos at the Town of Normal Council Meeting tonight at City Hall.
“The Frontier League is extremely pleased to have the 2012 All-Star Game in Normal, Illinois,” Lee said. “The Corn Crib will be a tremendous venue to host the League’s premier event. We want to thank State Farm for their participation and sponsorship. I am confident that all of the players, their families, the other staffs in the League and all of the owners will have a great time and will find that Normal is a tremendous community.”
“We are extremely excited and honored to have the opportunity to host the Frontier League All-Star Game in 2012,” CornBelters President and General Manager Steve Malliet added. “It says a lot about the support we have received throughout Bloomington-Normal and how people have taken to the CornBelters after only one season. It is a credit to our entire community that the Frontier League has chosen us to host this event after only one year in the League.”
