First NAL schedule released

North American LeagueThe Lake County Fielders (independent; North American League) have posted a schedule for the 2011 season — and as you might expect, it’s heavy with games against Schaumburg and Rockford. Really heavy.

In fact, the schedule has the Fielders taking on the Schaumburg Flyers six times in June, 15 times in July (more than half the games on the schedule), including a 12-game stretch, and 14 times in August (almost half the games on the schedule), including a 12-game stretch; the schedule also has the Fielders taking on the Rockford RiverHawks 16 times in June. The Flyers and the Fielders are set to play each other 36 times in the season.

The schedule also calls for only three games against a Western Division team (Chico, for three games in two days) and the rest against Texas teams.
