The Gary SouthShore RailCats (independent; American Association) are prepping for their move to a new circuit with new hirings in the front office: Natalie Kirby as Director of Marketing and Promotions, Dominic Edwards as Graphic Designer and Tanner Townsend as The RailCats Ambassador.
Kirby comes to the RailCats with six years of experience in the radio business with five as Marketing Director for WKNS 95.1 KISS FM in Charlotte, N.C. where her responsibilities included managing the marketing budget and a promotional staff of 27 employees. In 2007, Kirby was named “Marketing/Promotions Director of the Year” by National Radio and Records. In her new role, Kirby will oversee the RailCats Marketing Team and will be responsible for the advertising and promotion of the club. Kirby majored in Advertising and minored in Marketing earning a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Appalachian State University.
Edwards returns to the RailCats after previously serving as the ‘Cats Marketing and Promotions Coordinator in 2007. In his new role, Edwards will be responsible for designing a wide variety of graphics, advertisements and more as a member of the RailCats Marketing Team. Edwards holds a degree in 3D Modeling and Animation from the American Academy of Art.
A RailCats infielder during the season, Townsend joins the front office as The RailCats Ambassador this offseason. As The RailCats Ambassador, Townsend will be responsible for a variety of duties including making appearances in Northwest Indiana in addition to being a member of the RailCats Sales Team. Townsend will also be conducting hitting camps at U. S. Steel Yard.
