The Traverse City Beach Bums (independent; Frontier League) have a new general manager for the 2011 season: Jeremy Crum, promoted from his position as AGM.
“Jeremy has grown with us since our inception, working his way up from an intern in 2006,” said Beach Bums Managing Member/COO John Wuerfel. “As a family owned and operated organization, Jeremy’s promotion is indicative of the trust we have in him, trust he has earned through his hard work and dedication over the past five years.”
Crum has been with the Traverse City Beach Bums for five seasons, starting out in the inaugural season as a ticketing intern. Crum took over as the Director of Ticketing in late 2006. From there he moved up to Director of Sales & Marketing in 2007, then to Assistant General Manager in 2008.
“I am excited for the opportunity the Wuerfels have given me,’ said Crum. “The Beach Bums mean a lot to me.”
Former GM Leslye Wuerfel is taking a step back to a more behind the scenes position, although she will still continue to be involved with the management as the Chief Financial Officer.
