JetHawks to mark milestone with free tickets

The Lancaster JetHawks are celebrating their 1,000th game by giving away free tickets. To celebrate the Lancaster JetHawks (High Class A; California League) playing 1,000 games at Clear Channel Stadium, the team is combining with High Desert Broadcasting to give away every available ticket for the big day: Tuesday, April 13.  The ticket giveaway will take place as part of a 1K Day celebration Saturday, April 10.

Since the JetHawks arrived in the Antelope Valley, they have played 997 games.  This tally features 968 regular season contests, 21 home playoff games, and eight exhibitions (including the Seattle Mariners in 1997 and the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001).

“As someone who has been part of JetHawks baseball since the first day, it’s incredibly exciting for me to be leading the celebration of our 1,000th game at the Hangar,” says General Manager Larry Thornhill.  “And with the team’s growth in the past year and the incredible community support, we’re glad to partner with High Desert Broadcasting to give something back to the fans who have made these 1,000 games over 15 years so special.”

The 1K day celebration, including the ticket giveaway, will be held Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., just three days before the historic game as the JetHawks battle the Lake Elsinore Storm.  High Desert Broadcasting will be handing out all remaining tickets to the game on a first-come, first-served basis. This giveaway will not include tickets already held by JetHawks season ticket, mini-plan, or individual game ticket holders, nor will it include tickets in the JetHawks Skybox Suites.
