Four men were charged with the theft of 16 new LCD televisions from Silver Cross Field.
Crime at the ballpark isn't necessarily uncommon, but this crime was especially brazen: the security system for Silver Cross Field, the home of the Joliet Jackhammers (independent; Northern League) was disabled while four men stole 16 newly installed LCD televisions from the suite level of the ballpark.
The four must not have been too subtle about selling the units: they were quickly rounded up and charged yesterday.
