The Denver City Council is implementing an 86-foot height restriction on new buildings outside Coors Field in an attempt to preserve views from the ballpark.

The view became an issue after a local developer announced plans for a 146-foot-tall tower outside the ballpark, squarely between the grandstand and the mountains. Keeping that view was important to the Rockies.
