Notre Dame, Army and Yankee Stadium officials confirmed the school will play at least one game — and potentially many more — at the new Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile, Yankees officials are working hard to line up more college games in coming years.

The first game, with Notre Dame taking on Army, will take place Nov. 20, 2010, well after the end of the football season. The game will being back the long tradition of Notre Dame/Army games in New York City; the pair played over 30 games in various New York City-area venues over the years, including 22 at the old Yankee Stadium and single games at Ebbets Field, Shea Stadium and the Polo Grounds.

In addition, the Yankees are looking at games in the 2012 season and beyond, possibly involving Army, Rutgers and Syracuse.
