The Minnesota Twins unveiled plans for the pedestrian plaza connecting Target Field with Target Center and the rest of downtown Minneapolis.
You could argue that it’s just a plaza, but it’s a very important public space: the majority of fans entering Target Field will be entering from the plaza spanning more than two acres between 6th and 7th Streets in the Minneapolis Warehouse District, and first impressions are the most important. Target Plaza (yes, the Minneapolis-based retail giant bought naming rights, making that corner of downtown Minneapolis a Targetriffic site) will feature several interesting design elements, to be sure.
