The renovations are fairly dramatic, giving one of the oldest ballparks in the majors a brand-new face. A wraparounc concourse will allow fans to more smoothly move around the ballpark, while the concourses have been widened and concessions enhanced. The iconic water fountains in right field will remain, but that corner of the ballpark has been completely redone with the installation of new seating, a large picnic area, restaurants and a new kids’ play area. The left-field scoreboard is gone, replaced by a Royals Hall of Fame and museum (the only part of the $250-million renovation that won’t be completed by Opening Day).
