Dunedin focuses on new Blue Jays spring training site

Toronto Blue JaysDunedin (Fla.) officials have identified a potential site for a new Toronto Blue Jays spring training site, but the hard work — like acquiring the land and funding — remain.

We have the full details on our sister site, Spring Training Online. The gist of the matter: The Blue Jays want a new spring-training home and have decided to pursue one in Dunedin after looking at a potential Palm Beach County site with the Houston Astros. The city, eager to keep the Blue Jays, have identified a potential ballpark site about a mile east of Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Still to come over the next few months: talks between the city and the team about the scope of the project.

Again, we’d encourage you to check out the full details on our sister site, Spring Training Online.
