We have a first detailed look at the potential renovations for PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (Class AAA; International League), with Lackawanna County releasing renderings.
The ballpark renovation is slated to begin any day now; construction can’t begin until the sale of the SWB Yankees to the Mandalay Baseball Properties/New York Yankees partnership, but it sounds like lease and sales issues have been worked out and construction could begin as soon as next week once the Multi Purpose Stadium Authority addresses the sale and lease tonight. The total cost of the project is $42 million, with $20 million coming from the state and $14.6 million coming from the sale of the SWB Yankees.
The renovation work is being overseen by Philadelphia-based Ewing Cole, whose ballpark portfolio includes Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, and Bright House Field, home of the Clearwater Threshers (High Class A; Florida State League) and the spring home of the Phillies.

The ballpark entry, which is currently not the best face PNC Field presents to the public, will be revamped as well:
