The Everett AquaSox (Short Season A; Northwest League) are installing a new Daktronics videoboard at Funko Field, with the 20-foot high by 40-foot wide display to be the largest in the Northwest League.
The new state-of-the-art video board replaces the existing left-center field display installed in 2009 when 7th Inning Stretch, LLC first purchased the AquaSox. The 2009 video board was installed in partnership with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 191 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Cascade Chapter.
“The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 191 has been a part of this community since 1901. Together with our partners the National Electrical Contractors Association, Cascade Chapter, in collaboration with The Everett AquaSox, we proudly promote family values, community relationships, and the great sport of Baseball. We are pleased to bring the new scoreboard to Everett AquaSox installed by Skilled Union Labor,” said Joseph Lorenzo, Business Manager, for IBEW Local 191.
“NECA Cascade Chapter and IBEW Local 191 are committed to making improvements in our local communities that make lasting impressions for many years to come. Our partnership with the Everett AquaSox has been especially rewarding over our 10+ years of sponsorship as they have been extremely accommodating to our desire to make a visible impact while utilizing our electrical skills. Projects like these are what brings families together which is why we are excited to bring the next generation video board to the Everett AquaSox and Fans. Go AquaSox! ” said Cindy Austin, Executive Manager of NECA Cascade Chapter.
The display is capable of variable content zoning, allowing it to show one large image or be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of dynamic content. Fans will be in awe with the live video, instant replays, graphics, animations and the size of the 15HD pixel LED video board.
“Bringing in the latest technology and doubling the size of our video board makes this an absolute Home Run for AquaSox fans!” said AquaSox General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. “We want to thank IBEW Local 191 and NECA Cascade Chapter for being our partners for this ballpark enhancement. This project would not be possible without their continued support of the community. As the largest video display in the Northwest League, this will take the fan experience at Funko Field to an entirely new level!”
Previously in March, the AquaSox announced a six-year partnership with Funko, Inc. which included field naming rights, Funko Field.
