Battle Creek Bombers to Play as Battle Cats July 19

Michigan Battle Cats

The Battle Creek Bombers (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) have an interesting throwback night in the works, as they will play as the Michigan Battle Cats (Low A; Midwest League) on July 19.

Before playing host to the Bombers, C.O. Brown Stadium was home to a Midwest League franchise that played in Battle Creek from 1995-2006 before relocating to Midland, MI to become the Great Lakes Loons. From 1995-2002, that franchise played as the Battle Cats, an identity that will be recognized by the Bombers as part of a promotion that will see the team take the field in specialty Battle Cats jerseys and hats during a home game on Friday, July 19. All jerseys will be auctioned off via a silent auction during the game. Very limited merchandise items will be available for purchase in the team store.

To add to the festivities, there will be a post-game concert held in left field. Local classic rock cover band Absolute Addiction will be playing two sets, with the first slated to be from 10:45pm – Midnight and the second to begin at 12:20 and go until 1:30am. Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the show.

The Bombers will be offering a special ticket package for “Back to the Battle Cats and Midnight Madness” night. This ticket package includes a ticket to the game, a ticket to the concert, and one beer or soda and a Michigan Battle Cats t-shirt. This package is $27 and will only be available for purchase until 11:59 pm on Friday, April 5. Fans can also buy a package that includes everything except the t-shirt for $12.
