2018 Affiliated Attendance By Classification

Ballpark DigestWith affiliated, independent and summer-collegiate 2018 regular seasons now finished, it’s time to look at how individual teams and leagues fared. We continue today’s 2018 attendance reviews with a listing of Minor League Baseball attendance by classification.

In the course of the day we’ll review MiLB attendance by league, by total, and by average. We’ll then follow those listings with independent-baseball attendance, followed by a master listing of 2018 affiliated, independent and summer-collegiate attendance.

Here are the complete attendance figures of affiliated baseball teams, as listed by classification, with a comparison of 2017 attendance figures. All stats come directly from league websites and last year’s Ballpark Digest attendance rankings.

We have a list of the usual suspects when we look at the leaders in each level of MiLB, covering the four full-season leagues and the two short-season leagues. At Triple-A, the Charlotte Knights and Indianapolis Indians again were at the top of the heap — though this season Charlotte finished on top, whereas Indianapolis was tops in 2017. At Double-A, the Frisco RoughRiders repeated as attendance leaders, with Richmond rising from third to second. At High-A, Winston-Salem surged past Frederick to top the rankings. At Low-A, Dayton once again repeated as attendance champs, with the West Michigan Whitecaps surging to a second-place finish. At Short Season-A, Vancouver repeated as attendance champ, with Brooklyn in second and Spokane in third. And, in the two Rookie leagues, the Ogden Raptors repeated on top, with Pulaski finishing second and Idaho Falls third.
