The State College Spikes have unveiled details regarding the 2018 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. The contest will take place at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Tuesday, August 14.
The cavalcade of NYPL All-Star Game events hosted by the Spikes in partnership with the Central PA CVB will begin on Monday, August 13, and extend to the game itself the following night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Fans will be able to meet and greet baseball’s future stars and join the Central PA community in welcoming the baseball world to Happy Valley.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Central PA CVB for the 2018 NYPL All-Star Game as the centerpiece of a great season,” said Spikes General Manager Scott Walker. “As fans from around the region and around the NYPL make plans to join us this summer, they can be assured that the Spikes’ talented front office staff is planning a fantastic 2018 season, led by the All-Star Game on August 14.”

2018 will mark the Spikes’ second time hosting the league’s annual Midsummer Classic, after 12 major leaguers, including single-game home run record holder J.D. Martinez, appeared in the 2009 NYPL All-Star Game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. More announcements on 2018 NYPL All-Star Game events on August 13 and 14 will be forthcoming in the near future.
