The Los Angeles Dodgers have made some changes on the concessions front for the 2017 campaign at Dodger Stadium—but the biggest change will the franchise’s first season without Vin Scully in the broadcast booth since 1950.
Scully spent his first Opening Day as a retiree running errands and getting a car wash, but the team unveiled Dodger Stadium food updates and play went on during a big Opening Day win.
With a new executive chef, Ryan Evans, in place, the Dodgers and concessionaire Levy Restaurants unveiled a series of a new food items for 2017. The Dodgers entering the excessive food sweepstakes with a new Dodger Burger that’s more than a burger, more than a hot dog, and more than enough for many. It’s a one-third Angus beef patty topped with four slices of Dodger Dogs and smothered with BBQ sauce, onions and jalepeno poppers. That’s a boatload of flavor.

In a more subtle move, the Think Blue BBQ stand has been moved to the Reserve Level in right field to make room for King’s Hawaiian Grill in the left-field plaza. The revamped concession stand will serve foods based on King’s Hawaiian breads, including sliders, a Dodger Dog in a King’s Hawaiian bun and more.
Poke bowls are hot, and the Dodgers have their own version: a Tuna Poke Bowl featuring ahi tuna, vegetables, edamame and a soy dipping sauce. (It’s at the top of the page.) The new BaseBowls stand also features Vietnamese Rice Noodle, Kalua Pork and Teriyaki Chicken bowls.
Also hot: tater tots. (Indeed, it seems like every MLB ballpark now features tots in some sort of concession offering.) The Dodgers and Levy added two tater tots stands, Lots of Tots, featuring tots served a variety of ways. What looks to be the best: loaded tots, topped with cheese, garlic, oil and parsley. The Lots of Tots stands are on the Field and Loge levels, both on the first-base side.
