Boise Hawks Unveil 30th Anniversary Logo

Boise Hawks

To mark 30 years in Boise, the Boise Hawks (Short Season A; Northwest League) have released a commemorative logo to begin the season-long celebration.

“The Boise Hawks have been a mainstay in the Treasure Valley since 1987. There have been many Major League ballplayers who got their start here in our very own backyard,” said Hawks’ General Manager Bob Flannery. “I can’t wait to see who is voted onto this team.”

The Hawks will also be putting together a “30th Anniversary Team,” which will be released throughout the 2017 season in the PlayBall game program. Hawks fans will have the opportunity to vote (links will be provided on their social media sites) on their favorite player from each position each week leading up to the Hawks’ home opener. The position voting schedule is: Pitchers (week of April 10th); Catchers (week of April 17th); First Basemen (week of April 24th); Second Basemen (week of May 1st); Third Basemen (week of May 8th); Shortstops (week of May 15th); Outfielders (week of May 22nd); and manager (week of May 29th).

The logo, created by Hawks’ Marketing Manager Joe Kelly, incorporates the “ball and talon” Boise Hawks logo with iconic images of the Treasure Valley (the Boise River, the Idaho State Capitol Building, and the outfield/mountain view of Memorial Stadium.)
