Personnel News: Erie, Madison

We have some personnel news to report from the Erie SeaWolves (Class AA; Eastern League) and the Madison Mallards (summer collegiate; Northwoods League). 

In Erie, the SeaWolves have announced several additions and promotions within their front office.

Megan Allen has been promoted from Account Executive to Director of Ticket Sales and will oversee ticket and hospitality sales for the organization. Allen joined the SeaWolves in the fall of 2014 and is entering her third season with the team. Allen is a native of Rickreall, Oregon and a 2013 graduate of Oregon State University.

The SeaWolves also have added three new members to the front office team as Hunter Horenstein, Brendan O’Neill, and Dan Jones have all accepted roles in the organization.

Horenstein joins the SeaWolves as Community Engagement Manager, a new role in the organization. He is responsible for the team’s community outreach programs and will lead the team’s group sales and fundraising efforts in youth sports, non-profit organizations and performance groups. Horenstein is a native of Long Beach, California and a 2014 graduate of Dominican University of California. He enters his fifth season working in baseball. He was most recently with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans as a community relations assistant.

O’Neill is an Account Executive and will be responsible for selling and servicing SeaWolves Ticket Memberships. A native of Crystal Lake, Illinois and a 2013 graduate of Illinois State University, Brendan will be entering his fifth season in baseball. He has spent the past three seasons as the Senior Ticket Sales Executive with the Normal CornBelters.

Jones is also an Account Executive and will be responsible for selling and servicing SeaWolves Ticket Memberships. Jones is a native of Toms River, New Jersey and a recently graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. Jones comes to Erie from the Harrisburg Senators where he completed an internship in sales.

“Megan Allen has been a top performer since joining the SeaWolves in 2014, and we are thrilled to promote her to Director of Tickets Sales,” SeaWolves President Greg Coleman said. “Hunter, Dan and Brendan all bring experience and enthusiasm to our ticket sales staff, and we’re excited to welcome them to UPMC Park and the Erie community.”

In Madison, the Mallards have added Austin Hansen and Alex Olson to their sales staff.

Hansen enters his first season with the Mallards as Season Ticket Sales Manager. In his role he is responsible for selling Mallards season tickets, 7-game packs, 9-game packs and small group outings.

“I can’t wait to continue to build on current relationships and create new ones with all of the dedicated and passionate Mallards fans,” said Hansen.

Previous to his new role, Hansen worked as a Ticket Operations Intern with the Mallards in 2015 and a Recruiting Assistant at Marian University between the years 2014 to 2016. Most recently, he was the Seasonal Ticket Office Manager for the 2016 season for the Mallards. In May 2016, he graduated from Marian University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and following the Packers, Brewers and Bucks.

Olson enters his first season with the Mallards as a Corporate Account Manager. In his role he is responsible for selling Mallards group outings and Tricor/West Bend Club Season Ticket Packages to the local business community.

“The atmosphere of each and every game is incredible,” said Olson. “The energy at the Duck Pond during the summer months in Madison is something unmatched and I can’t wait to experience everything that goes into to the planning and production of a Madison Mallards ball game.”

Previous to his full time role, Olson was a basketball operations intern with the Wisconsin Blizzard AAU Basketball team as well as the Head Coach of the 15U Wisconsin Blizzard. Most recently, he completed a ticket office internship with the Mallards throughout the 2016 season. In May 2016, he completed his Bachelor degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. In his free time, he enjoys watching the Milwaukee Bucks and other big sporting events. He also enjoys playing basketball.
