Just days after Kevin Durant‘s decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors, the Fort Myers Miracle (High A; Florida State League) are rolling out a timely promo. For tonight’s doubleheader, the Miracle will host Decision II Night, an event that even includes its own specialty food item.
The Miracle are set to continue a game from June 26 then play a seven inning second game. The decision is yours… join us early for two games or just take in one! The Miracle will begin game one in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 4-0 lead, much like the Golden State Warriors will be favored to win each and every game for the next two seasons.
In honor of Durant stacking the Warriors chances, fans will have the chance to build their own winner with the Warrior Stack Burger. Fans can stack as many as five starting patties on a burger smothered with “catch-up” (since the rest of the other teams in the NBA will struggle to catch up to the Warriors). Each burger will cost $1.64 per patty since the Warriors will clearly win all 82 games for the next two season. One cent for every future possible win.
Since the sports world is still a-dribble with movement, any fan that goes to the Hammond Stadium box office ticket window to turn in a No. 35 Kevin Durant Oklahoma City jersey will receive free admission. Any fan wearing Durant’s signature Nike sneakers also gets in free!
Miami Heat fans still stung by the loss of Decision I can show their support by sitting on the east side of the ballpark while Durant fans (or now non-fans) can express themselves by setting up on the west side of the ballpark. The middle seats will be renamed the “WWRD” section or What will Russell (Westbrook) do? for those that are indifferent or undecided.
During the game, a few lucky fans will be selected to participate in a shimmy shake dance off on the field.
