We have personnel news to report from the Potomac Nationals (High A; Carolina League), as the team has announced the departure of vice president/general manager Zach Prehn. In his place, the Nationals have named Bryan Holland and Aaron Johnson as the co-interim general managers.
These moves were announced by chairman/CEO Art Silber, who issued a statement on Thursday. “The Potomac Nationals, of the Carolina League and affiliate of the Washington Nationals, announced today that Director of Corporate Sales, Media Relations, and Broadcasting, Bryan Holland and Assistant General Manager/Director of Food and Beverage, Aaron Johnson will now serve as the Co-Interim General Managers of the ball club.
Holland and Johnson both will report directly to President and Chief Operating Officer, Lani Silber Weiss,” said Silber.
No reason was given for the departure of Prehn, who elevated to the title of vice president/general manager last fall. Prior to that promotion, Prehn had spent four seasons in Potomac, obtaining the title of general manager of operations before his promotion.
Holland and Johnson will come into their new, shared role with plenty of experience in Potomac. Both have been with the Nationals since 2012.
