More personnel news, this time from the Frisco RoughRiders (Class AA; Texas League): Breon Dennis is the team’s new Vice President of Community Development and Executive Director of the RoughRiders Foundation.
Dennis’s hiring was top of a series of personnel moves announced by RoughRiders’ Executive Vice President and General Manager Jason Dambach.
Breon joins the RoughRiders after over 16 seasons with the Frisco’s Major League Baseball affiliate, the Texas Rangers, most recently holding the title of Assistant Vice President of Community Outreach. In that role, he oversaw the Rangers Youth Ballpark, Camps and Clinics. Additionally, Breon was responsible for grassroots marketing, corporate partnerships and outreach within the African American community.
In his new role with the Riders, Breon will oversee the franchise’s current community, school and volunteer programs and lead the development of expanded outreach opportunities and initiatives throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth community. He will also oversee the RoughRiders Foundation, the franchise’s 501(c)3 non-profit charitable arm.
“The RoughRiders are committed to significantly enhancing our presence in the community and expanding our capacity to provide even more contributions, outreach and volunteerism throughout the Metroplex,” Dambach said. “Adding someone with Breon’s experience and passion for influencing lives and using the game of baseball and our brand as a way to make a difference in the community is an important step in that direction.”
The Riders today also announced nine new additions to the team’s ticketing department. Austin Cain, Jeff Clark, Johnny Coenen, Kaitlyn Cox and Kanavis Wright have been named Group Sales Executives; Hillary Adams, LaJewelia Lewis and Jacob Sappington have joined the club as Ticket Sales Coordinators; and Adam Dolezal is the team’s new Ticket Operations/Box Office Coordinator.
The club previously announced the addition of Sam Torres as Chief Sales Officer and Nathan Barnett as the new Voice of the RoughRiders and Manager of Media Development.
