New for 2015: CenturyLink Sports Complex

Hammond Stadium, Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins sold naming rights to their spring-training home in Florida, with the Lee County Sports Complex to be known as CenturyLink Sports Complex.

Hammond Stadium, however, will remain known as Hammond Stadium, naming for the longtime parks and rec employee key in bringing the Twins to Fort Myers some 25 years ago.

We have all the details at our sister site, Spring Training Online.

For the Twins, the naming-rights deal is part of the two-year, $48.5-million makeover of their spring-training home.

As we near the end of the season, we have many fans turning their attention (naturally!) to spring training. We’ve already posted the first 2015 schedule, with the Orioles releasing details first. And, of course, this means the imminent release of our spring-training guides. Yes, we will let you know when they are ready.
