If it’s the offseason, it’s time for many teams and cities to start working on ballpark upgrades. Here’s a look at three construction projects already underway for the 2015 season.
The top photo shows the installation of new turf at Principal Park, home of the Iowa Cubs (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League).
A new construction for 2015: this Morgantown ballpark will house the West Virginia University baseball program and the relocating Jamestown Jammers (short season A; NY-Penn League).
Finally, two looks at the $4 million renovation of WPA-era Wade Stadium, home of the Duluth Huskies (summer collegiate; Northwoods League). The new field installation includes a modern drainage system and more.
