It’s already an Amazon best-seller: We released The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Florida eBook yesterday. You can never be too prepared.
Updated for 2014, The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Florida is the perfect way to plan your spring-training trip and then guide you through the entire process, from buying tickets to buying beer at the ballpark. This book covers the best of spring training in Florida, with extensive guides to all the major-league camps, completed with schedules, workout times, concessions highlights, seat recommendations and more. Also included: where to stay near the camps (including RV camps), what to do when not at training camp, and other areas of interest to both hardcore fans and casual attendees.
You can buy it from Amazon here.
We’ve updated the book with more in-depth seating summaries (with seating charts on the way this week), more descriptions of ballpark offerings (food, drink, etc.), previews of new and renovated ballparks (Fort Myers) and in general more information about our favorite time of year.
The book following along the same lines as our best-selling spring-training guides from 2013. They are set up as eBook that can be read on tablets, Kindle eReaders, Macs and PCs via the Kindle software. (This page explains how the process works, with free downloads of Kindle software for iPads, iPhones, Android tablets and phones, Blackberry, Macs, Windows and Windows 8 tablets.)
We’ve also set up the book in a way where you can download schedule updates. We will be updating the book as schedules are released. As a user, you can download a new version of an eBook at your leisure. If you delete this book and then download a new version from Amazon, you’ll have the latest in schedules and information. This book is a work in progress, and we plan on regular updates as more information becomes available. So don’t worry about the The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Florida going out of date in coming weeks: we’re making sure it stays up to date through the end of February, when games begin.
Coming up this week: the release of The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Florida on Barnes & Noble Nook and Apple iBookstore platforms (Apple and BN tend to take their time in releasing titles), and the release of The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Arizona.
As of this morning The Complete Guide to Spring Training 2014 / Florida was #26 among all baseball books and #11 in Kindle baseball books. Some familiar names were part of this effort: Jesse Goldberg-Strassler edited, while Jim Tocco designed the cover. Thanks to both of these fine gentlemen for their hard work.
