The Kane County Cougars (Low Class A; Midwest League) will be the first Class A team to attract 10 million fans in team history when the milestone is reached, weather willing, on Saturday night.
Welcomed at the gate by Cougars General Manager Curtis Haug and Ozzie T. Cougar, the 10 millionth fan will be showered with numerous gifts from the organization, including a Cougars game-issued #10 jersey, a ceremonial first pitch before the game, an autographed team bat, and a 10-game customized ticket package for the 2014 season. The winning fan will also be recognized on the field following the game.
“Milestones such as reaching the 10 millionth fan are very significant and certainly worth celebrating,” Haug said. “We look forward to welcoming our 10 millionth fan this coming homestand, and continuing to provide the best customer service and entertainment experience possible for millions of fans to come.”
The team is now in its 23rd season.
