Bill Dowling, who spent 16 years as co-owner and CEO of the New Britain Rock Cats (Class AA; Eastern League), has returned to the team’s front office as president, with Tim Restall the new GM.
They replace John Willi, who will remain as a consultant with the team. Willi was named president/GM when the Solomon family (Josh Solomon and his siblings, Jim Solomon and Jennifer Goorno) purchased the team. At that time Dowling retained a minority share of the team.
Restall is a familiar face to the Solomon ownership: he’s worked for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Class AA; Eastern League), owned by Art Solomon, as vice president of business operations.
