Earlier this week we discussed the concessions upgrades at Dr Pepper Ballpark, and now we have further info: Professional Sports Catering will manage all aspects of the food operation for the Frisco RoughRiders (Class AA; Texas League).
You can read our earlier story here.
The upgrades are in conjunction with Mandalay Baseball Properties, owner of the RoughRiders. The deal calls for PSC to manage all food operations at Dr Pepper Ballpark for all home games, including concessions, catering and staffing for every RoughRiders home game
“Frisco is a tremendous organization and has a decade long track record of success in the Texas League” said Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC. “This is another exciting opportunity for PSC to bring our philosophy of delivering the most delicious and innovative food to baseball fans across the country.”
Known for their unique variety of menu options, PSC plans to revamp the food-service operation with specialty food carts, new options and most importantly, all items cooked fresh in front of fans.
The RoughRiders have led the Texas League in attendance each season since moving into Dr Pepper Ballpark in 2003. The franchise routinely draws over 500,000 fans per year. Their service oriented approach has allowed them to build a strong fan base over the past decade, and this new partnership with PSC shows their commitment to improving upon one of the best ballpark experiences in MiLB.
“We are excited to begin this partnership with PSC and bring a company known for outstanding service to Dr Pepper Ballpark,” said RoughRiders President Scott Sonju. “We are working closely with PSC to bring some great surprises to our fans this season.”
Professional Sports Catering, LLC is the only full service food & beverage company that focuses exclusively on Minor League Baseball. Tom Dickson and his partner, Sherrie Myers launched the company in 2005 to serve the needs of minor league baseball teams across the country. The PSC business model focuses on high quality, fresh, cooked-before-your-eyes food and an almost obsessive level of customer service and partnership with its clients. In 2011, PSC announced a joint venture partnership with Mandalay Baseball Properties, who have become active partners in the strategic growth of the company.
