State bonds approved for Cards’ Ballpark Village; construction begins in November

Ballpark Village

The Ballpark Village development from the St. Louis Cardinals, to be located next to Busch Stadium, is a go after the Missouri Development Finance Board approved $17 million in tax incentives.

The board’s vote, taken this morning, was 11-1. Construction will begin in November, as the rest of the financing of the $89-million project is all set up.

The project from the Cards and Cordish Cos is set to feature a St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum, a live music venue, a German-style beer hall bearing the Anheuser-Busch imprimatur and more.
