You can add another high-profile concert to the ballpark schedule this summer: the Flaming Lips and local heroes Garbage are headlining Pondamonium at Madison’s Warner Park.
The concert, hosted by the Madison Mallards (summer collegiate; Northwoods League), features two bands known to put on a good show. The re-formed Garbage is the biggest musical act to originate in Madison, so expect a lot of excitement and tears when Butch Vig, Shirley Manson and crew hit the stage. With the Flaming Lips renowned for their flashy stage performances, you can expect a lot of excitement at the Duck Pond.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $45 if purchased in advance and $50 on day of the show. Check out the Pondamonium site for more info.
Speaking of Warner Park: We were out for Friday night’s game at the Duck Pond and had a chance to see this year’s ballpark improvements in action. We’ll have a fuller report later today.
