Matt Bomberg is now part of the Northwoods League front office, joining Curt Carstensen as a vice president of the summer-collegiate circuit.
Bomberg is vice president, business development and Carstensen is vice president, operations, both working alongside League President Dick Radatz, Jr.
Bomberg joins the Northwoods League front office after spending the past two seasons as general manager of the Green Bay Bullfrogs (summer collegiate; Northwoods League). Prior to his time in Green Bay he spent eight seasons working for two teams in the Goldklang Group. As senior director of ticket sales with the Fort Myers Miracle (High Class A; Florida State League), he led the team’s ticket sales initiatives focusing on groups, mini plans and season tickets. Matt also was instrumental in the operations of Minnesota Twins Spring Training during his time in Florida. Prior to Fort Myers, he was involved with the St. Paul Saints (independent; American Association) for six seasons. Bomberg began as an intern with the Saints and ended as the director of ticket sales.
Carstensen has been involved with the Northwoods League for 11 years, including the last five years as director of operations. Prior to moving to the NWL front office, Carstensen spent five seasons with the Alexandria Beetles (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) as the team’s play-by-play announcer and director of media relations, beginning in 2002.
