The Florida Marlins (for now) announced a premium-seating area at the new Marlins ballpark, The Clevelander, featuring poolside seating, select table service and entertainment next to the Marlins bullpen.
The Clevelander is a recently renovated South Beach hotel/entertainment complex. The ballpark area will feature dancers and DJs live from the pool area of the original hotel. The new poolside bar and grill will also be open for extended periods following each Marlins home game, and will also be available for private events for corporations, social groups and friendly gatherings.
The premium area, holding 120 or so fans, was formerly called La Playa by the team.
“The Marlins are proud to join forces with this legendary South Beach entertainment venue,” said Marlins President David Samson. “The New Marlins Ballpark will provide many fun and distinct experiences, highlighted by this new pool-side entertainment area. The Clevelander fits our vision perfectly as it has offered a unique blend of delicious food and beverage and exciting entertainment to Miami for over 70 years.”
“The Clevelander is known for our iconic location on South Beach, but we have always been looking for great opportunities to expand our brand’s presence in the Miami community,” said Mike Palma, General Manager of The Clevelander. “When we were approached by the Marlins, we saw it as the ideal opportunity for two iconic brands to merge and create energy and entertainment in an amazing new space for the people of Miami to enjoy.”
