Windy City fetes millionth fan

Windy City Millionth Fan

The Windy City ThunderBolts (independent; Frontier League) honored the millionth fan in team history, Karen Kenny of Tinley Park, with a grand time at Standard Bank Stadium.

Kenny was given a crown, sash, flowers, and a plaque, and her group of 14 were treated to free food and drink in te team’s Party Box; she also won a free suite with food & drink for 25 people. In addition, General Manager Mike Lucas threw in the $100 ThunderBolts Gift Card to the prize total.

The official attendance numbers for the ThunderBolts date back to the 1999 season. This was the club’s first season in the Frontier League (as the Cook County Cheetahs) and first year playing at Standard Bank Stadium (formally Hawkinson Ford Field).
