The exploits of players and coaches in the independent North American League will be chronicled in a new television series produced by the TVS Television Network, “For the Love of the Game.”
“This is a great opportunity to showcase our league, players, and communities,” said North American Baseball League President Brian MacInnes. “It’s also a wonderful marketing opportunity for our business sponsors for product placement or advertising and for our fans to be part of the shows.”
Filming of the first episode begins next week in Chico, California as the Chico Outlaws, led by former Dodger World Series Hero and National League All-Star Mike Marshall, takes on the Edmonton Capitals, who have a lineup filled with nine players that have played in the Major Leagues and are striving to return. TVS will be filming at the July 4th and 5th games and throughout the community those two days.
Future episodes will be filmed at the nine remaining NAL markets.
We’re not entirely sure how the show will be distributed; we’re guessing it wil be shown on TVS’s TV4U.Com video-on-demand site.
