Bull Barch is back!

Lake Erie CrushersThis makes us very happy: “Bull” Barch is back in baseball as the Voice of the Lake Erie Crushers (independent; Frontier League), as he takes a break from calling Notre Dame College games to replace Tim Calderwood.

Andy “Bull” Barch is currently the Assistant Sports Information Director at Notre Dame College and serves as the radio play by play announcer for Notre Dame Falcon Football on ESPN1540 KNR2 and for Notre Dame Falcon Men’s Basketball on AM 1330 WELW.

He spent six years as the Voice of the West Virginia Power (Low Class A; Sally League). During his time there Barch called over 800 games, including the 2009 South Atlantic League All-Star Game. He called two South Atlantic League Championship Series in 2007 and 2008. Barch also hosted a daily talk show titled “Bull on Baseball.” In 2009, Ballpark Digest named him the runner up for their Broadcaster of the Year Award.

“I’m honored to be the next voice of the Lake Erie Crushers and I am happy to be broadcasting professional baseball again,” Barch said. “I’d like to thank Owner Steven Edelson and Daniel Helm on the Crushers side for allowing me this opportunity to do what I love to do, and I’d like to thank Notre Dame College for their flexibility in allowing me to do this as well.”
