The Kannapolis Intimidators (Low Class A; Sally League) unveiled a new alternate logo that features the visage of the late Dale Earnhardt, a former minority owner of the franchise.
“In looking over ways to continue to enhance our partnership with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. and the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, we thought this new alternate logo was a fitting tribute,” Intimidators General Manager Randy Long said. “We’re excited to give our fans and community a new look and honored to have this logo be a part of our organization and team history.”
The new logo, which will be worn by the team onfield on special Dale Earnhardt-related occasions, is a red letter “I” intertwined with the famous depiction of Earnhardt with arms raised much like he did after he won a race. The logo was produced by Phire Branding Company, based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Phire Branding Company recently completed efforts on a new Dale Earnhardt NASCAR Hall of Fame logo and the new website for Dale Earnhardt Inc.
Of course, merchandise featuring the logo can be purchased from the Intimidators in time for the holiday season.
